I would play with my own dongle/aircard if I did that rather than using the clubs connection...

Playing at G last night and planned on also playing the APAT League game.
As I searched the lobby for it on Stars the Cardroom Manager came over and informed me that he had received an email from HO saying that players in tournaments weren't allowed to also play online. Regardless of site.

I have never been keen on these devices at the poker table. You are not allowed use your phone at the table so why are you allowed other electronic devices?

I played the 100k at DTD on Saturday and my table looked like PC world, at 1 point 7 of the 9 players had head phones in listing to rubbish, I say rubbish because every couple of minutes they start playing with their machines. If this was not slowing the game down enough 3 players also had i pad’s on the go.

I feel these machines should be covered by the same rule as phones. You want to use it leave the table. Turn your music on stick it your pocket and leave it alone. You are a grown up not a child playing with a new toy.

This would at least make players get their play list right.

I have no real issue with people using any equipment like ipad, headphones etc, as long as they pay attention, and to be fair i'd say the majority are paying attention even it seems like the opposite.

It gets so tedious though when in every hand, the same villains who are listening to their music miss what is happening totally, sometimes they'll  try and call the big blind when they missed the mid position raise/reraise, then they sit their looking confused and saying 'what just happened/how much is it, is it on me' etc, ultimately slowing the action down, and we all know how slow live poker action is at the best of times.

Or worse still if the dealer keeps having to wave in their face when its their turn and they are just staring down at their ipad/phone etc with music on too loud and seemingly not too bothered with keeping the game flowing. Then just to annoy me even more they tank for ages and muck! Smiley
