http://www.gsoplive.com/events/puntacana/

I'll be playing the above $3000+300 tournament next month in the Dominican Republic and would like to sell 30% to reduce variance a bit, since I bought a house recently and had to buy sofas and stuff to go in it, and to stick it in Dubai's eye for saying that I wouldn't do an auction to sell for bigger events. Also I'm building up to doing it for a really big event in the near future Wink

The value should be pretty huge imo, whilst I have to play this event as part of my contract with RedKings* I have to admit that if I weren't obliged then the fact that it's 4500 miles away and clashes with WPT Marbella would probably put me off, so if you can find any other 'name' UK pros attending then I will be very surprised. However, ongame do have an extensive satellite system and packages cannot be exchanged for cash so I expect there will be around 200 runners at least. I suppose there might be a few good Americans there too, although I don't know how aware they'll be of ongame or the GSOP, so it's possible that it will slip under their radar.

*(although I am paying the buyin and have 100% of myself pre-sale. Basically they gave me a budget that I was supposed to save for this tournament but I blew through it months ago  )

The structure is fantastic with all the levels included (250/500 etc) and I think for the Grand Final there will be a bigger starting stack and longer levels than the standard 20k+1hr, although this isn't the case on their website at the minute.

So, with slow structure and a 200 runner field of mostly satellite qualifiers, I'd estimate my ROI to be equal to or better than the usual 70-100%, although these assessments are obviously impossible to quantify, subject to massive ego-aments and as always with mtts the swings will be huge and more often than not you will be doing your money, so bid carefully.

The auction will be the same as before, I'll accept pm or bids on the thread but will just post any pms I get to the thread to keep it up to date and give herbie something to rail Smiley. The auction will close at 23:59:59 on Weds 21 March, except for bids by pm which will close 2hrs earlier to give me a chance to post them to the thread and give everyone an even chance. Have C+Ped the rules from previous auctions below. For reference 10% will cost $330 before any markup.

Happy bidding!

T+Cs:

I am selling 30% of my gross prize money in the GSOP Live Grand Final in Dominican Republic in April, buyin $3300. Any prizes from leaderboards, continued sponsorship opportunities, or dinner flips won will not be included. Currency conversions will be done on the basis of a $3300 buyin converted at a March 21st xe rate for GBP or EUR transfers.
Everyone who is interested in buying a piece make a bid for a certain percentage with the maximum price they would be prepared to pay for that piece. e.g. pleno 5% @ 1.8
All the bids are arranged in descending order by price* and the top 30 percentiles** at 9pm on Thursday 26th Jan win the auction.
Every winner pays the price of the lowest winning bid.

*In the event of a tie, the bid made first chronologically will take precedence
**This may involve one person receiving only part of the percentage that they bid for.

You can make as many bids as you like, e.g. if you would buy 10% at 1.1 but only 5% at 1.2, you can make 2 bids, 5@1.1 and 5@1.2, if the strike price finishes 1.1 or below you will have 10%, between 1.1 and 1.2 you will get 5% and over 1.2 you won't buy any.
Bids will be ranked by up to 2 decimal places, i.e. 1.333 will be considered the same as 1.33 and ranked chronologically
Bids are binding and cannot be withdrawn, I am ending the auction in plenty of time to chase everyone up for payment before the event.
To prevent any <0.5 shenanigans, the minimum price will be 1.0

In the event of some unforeseen dispute arising the referee's* decision will be final.

Am I wrong in thinking that you are only selling 30% so lildave's bid of 20% at 1.31 is a bit silly as he can only get 10% because tikay already has 20% at 1.35

You are correct, lildave's bid is characteristically silly.
