weighing in all the pros and cons which way would you prefer to travell a medium to long journey inside the UK
plane or train?
it would be an easy plane for me if i could get flights to the airports of my choice

Unless you are in a hurry, I'd pick the train.
It's about 100 times more comfortable.

plane isnt that much faster either when you include all the waiting around etc an the fact train stations cover more of the country and are in better locations than airports
problem i have with trains is i need to make too many changes 2 changes before i even get out of scotland

i live just outside elgin so have to get on train in kieth or elgin and travel to aberdeen or inverness, then change again in edinburgh or glasgow(try to avoid glasgow as it means changing station most of the time) journey to nottingham can mean one or 2 more changes, when ryanair flew into EMA from inverness it was so much easier
