Compulsive viewing every year for me - this one especially so.

Having spent some time around some of the Blue Boat rowers back in the day, they are among the fittest group of athletes I can imagine.  The preparation leading upto the race is just ridiculous and they still have to study around this.

The biggest surprise yesterday was that only one of the Cambridge crew was studying Land Economy (answering this to 'what are you studying?' usually results in 'what sport do you play?' as a follow up).

Bit harsh! The blue boat are normally grad students, so they're doing MPhils in International Relations Smiley They are seriously big blokes, tho. I remember seeing Kieren West close up. He looked like a giant inverted triangle on top of two tree trunks!
