For anyone interested in this, I was one of the defence lawyers. This case was a major reason I'm not a lawyer any more. Best wait for a verdict before commenting further... http://bbc.in/Hy1iM1

A very happy day that this has finally got to court.

Considering you were a lawyer, and that you worked on the case, is it really a good idea to post a thread with this title about a case that is still in progress?

Not a problem at all.

There's no question about the fact that Fife Constabulary buried witness statements, they've admitted it. The question is as to who actually did it, which is what this case is to decide upon. Whatever the verdict will it bring Justice at Last for the 2 guys who suffered as a result? Not speculating on what that verdict might be.

http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-18556183

A former policeman has been convicted of withholding evidence from prosecutors while investigating a murder in Fife 17 years ago.
Richard Munro, 53, was found guilty of attempting to defeat the ends of justice after a trial at the High Court in Edinburgh.

As a detective inspector he led the investigation into the killing of Andrew Forsyth in Dunfermline in 1995.
