UKIPT hand
«
on:
April 14, 2012, 04:49:50 PM »
My first UKIPT.. I satellites in for a spend of £80 approx and thoroughly enjoyed myself until...
Some context, I came back with 34100 and got an early double up shoving JJ and getting called by 77
Knocked out Liv when she open shoved QJ into my BB AJ
This hand comes Close to the bubble
Blinds 1200/2400/300
Villain 1 raises from utg+1 to 5100 playing c86k
Villain 2 calls from hijack, similar stack
I'm BB with 68off and call... ERROR?
Flop is 4 8 6 dd
I check, Villain 1 bets 18300
Villain 2 tank folds
I understand it's all about his range, but whatever he's raised with here it's surely safe to assume i'm ahead yes?
I shove.... ERROR?
I lost the hand and even now, three hours later I still feel sick about it. I think I played pretty well over the 13 and a bit levels I was involved in, and the nature of my exit still rankles.
In a way, I think I'll feel better if I misplayed it.

As with most exit hands that have been posted- calling pre is the biggest mistake you've made in this hand.
Post flop it's obv an easy get it in.

How big though?
Obviously, given the end result, very big, but in general, is calling here a huge mistake?

Yes. I mean I can't see where you've mentioned your stack size but unless your mega deep it's just an easy fold. You've hit the nut flop for your hand in this situation but too often you're gonna either miss which is probs the best result for your hand or flop some sort of equity and have to play the hand OOP

Not deep enough to be bothered with this hand really espically on the bubble if youve satted in for £80 just get through bubble take home the bacon then worry about getting chips. If your not being the bubble bully i would say just stay out of the way!

this. I can't think of a stack size or situation i'd peel the 86o.
before you say it, EVEN TO A MINRAISE!
I'd need 500bbs, vs some massive whales to peel this.

still folding.
you HAVE to flop two pair+ to continue. The chances of this are about 19:1 I believe. you won't be getting 19:1 pre.
Also there's reversed implied odds. Flop comes 823 are you really gonna be comfortable even calling one bet?

Dunno, I'd be reasonably happy with three
on the flop too.
