Why do they get such small fields and is this the right venue for William Hill to use for the European awards.

HNY.
i think paris was a good choice, the venue & facilities are superb.
but i agree, numbers were disappointing, in part because of blonde & dublin, but as you said, they're always on the small side over there...two 5k entries in 3 days surely doesn't help; how much money do they think the average poker player is happy to lump into a comp???
if they re-structured their festival weeks it would probably improve.

Your right about the venue could not be a nicer place to hold the awards,what iI am trying to say because of the turn out  for the comps is it high profile enough.
Just read your blog another one to add to the list, I must spend more time reading about the game than playing now.
