Playing now

Ian now has Lynne's wedding ring on a chain around his neck

Before he looks at his cards every hand, he reaches to touch the chain and kisses the wedding ring

I only knew the couple a little bit at Tour Events, and I don't want to be overly sentimental, not something you'd normally associated with the hard nosed world of poker but this is one of the most emotional things I've seen at the poker table, from a low buy in sort of guy from a recreational poker background

Of course the other players don't know the back story, why should they..but I for one am struggling to keep it together here.

+1 million !!!!

Amazing. Good luck to the guy.

Just a brief update

Mostly single raises taking down pots

Devron Hasselnock is now the short stack with under 1m as he raised 100,000 on the button and Hasmukh Khodiyara shoved the small blind, uncalled

Unsurprisngly play is very cagey. All about reaching that final and the big money, understandably

perfect description Tighty mate. They played with UK Sharks in our NPF team game and were a delight to have there or either on your table. Be one of pokers greatest stories if he scoops this. Gl Macmonster

Pirie 125,000

Senior makes it about 2m...two enormous white stacks

Pirie thinks about it, goes for it, calls all in for 1.185m

Pirie 7-7

Senior K-K

7 on the river doubles Pirie up

The crowd, and there is a big rail here, went bananas with a mixture of shock, elation in parts, disbelief in others!
