I believe they should amnesty cards for major finals... Not only is it a tragedy for the player to miss prob the game of his career but also Denys the fans to view the spectacle of a great final with all the best players on show .. Except Terry obv utter scum lying racist cheat...
agree
Agree.
But not reds.
It's a shame that 7 out of 22 so a 1/3 of the best players miss the greatest club game they'll ever play

Most of them played in Moscow in 2008.

Very much so, but in most cases, very much their own fault. They knew the position going into the game, but still got themselves carded.
An incredible amount of players will be missing fom the Final, but they'll get no sympathy from me.

You can't blame players for picking up yellow cards! All it takes is a slight mis timed tackle, or harsh refereeing decision, etc.
Now red cards, that's fair enough. Eg Terry should deffo miss it.

in general I have no sympathy for anyone getting a ban, if you pick up 3 yellows in 12 games you probably deserve it
I would however like uefa to automatically review 3rd bookings picked up in semi finals to avoid ridic situations like Alaba being out of the final due to a terrible decision by the ref last night

Who do you blame then?
There's the total disconnect, I'm afraid. Ignoring referring decisions (yes, there are some) who's fault is it then?
The rules are there for a reason. Yes, the margins are sometimes fine, but thats how it is. If players think it is not their fault, then there's the problem.

Honestly he is just a fuckign brain-dead little chav that would be pushing and running keys down the side of expensive cars right now if he hadn't been sick at football.
His Dad still getting caught shoplifting even since his son's made millions so he obviously comes from scummy background.
He must be so bad for morale in the england camp, speshly as a captain, I just don't understand how you can have someone who is so disliked as the national captain. Re-instating him as captain post Wayne Bridge affair and following Anton Ferdinand business is just laughable - Stuart Pearce to see sense onetime?
Just a MASSIVE dick really

I think that at World Cups/Euros, existing yellows are now reset after the QFs, so a player cannot miss a final there due to totting up any more.

Certainly in WC, not sure about Euros.
Quote
For the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the rules were changed so that any player who received two yellow cards between the beginning of the tournament and the end of the quarterfinal round (instead of the end of the group stage matches) would serve a one-match suspension for the next game. As a result, only players that received two yellow cards or a straight red card in the semifinal game would not be able to play in the final.
