Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.

Don't think either of them are high enough in the rankings or have exemptions.

Don't former winners get an exeption for life?

You are going against a lot of recent history backing a European
Outside the top players I think there is value in the likes of Robert Allenby (125/1 in places), Mike Weir (80/1 generally) and Angel Cabrera (100/1 generally). All consistent straight hitters
Of the big boys I think Retief Goosen will be there or thereabouts, as usual

Lyle won the Masters, for which he is exempt for life. I think US open winners get a long term but not lifetime exemption

Ok, us open winners get a 10 year exemption. Lyle is NOT exempt for this years open.

Former winners do get a lifetime exeption I believe.
Sandy Lyle won the US Masters and the Open, not the US Open.
And my picks are more down to the style of player, straight accurate hitters with great all round short-games.
