Just heard that Aspers casino`s are considering closiing the Swansea Casino and are beginning a three month consultation process. Could effect UKIPT numbers in November if its errr.... shut?

No great loss really, and it was definitely struggling.  Agree that they will struggle to find an alternative venue for a Welsh UKIPT though.

From a poker point of view, the decision to split the cardroom in two via a permanent wall did for them for third party events that I used to do with them

Surprised given the great location that the casino couldn't be made to work

How is Swansea a great location? Almost as bad to get to than Edinburgh or Southend

Great location within Swansea, right in the town centre, lots of passing trade

Could be a really good casino but pretty poor at the moment. I really hate the fact they basically turn it into a nightclub on a Friday and Saturday night don't think they do themselves any favor's there.

Swansea is a terrible location for sure, it's miles away from everywhere, there is nothing actually here and is fast becoming my least favorite place in the UK. I quite liked it before I lived here too *lol* - Asper's would be better off closing it and making another venue somewhere else in the south like the one in Newcastle.

Wouldn't wish the cardroom at Aspers Newcastle on anyone at the minute, totally wasted facility.

Really? A few years ago it was buzzing and had quite a few tables. Remember some great nights with cockney Eric before he went AWOL.

Only been there a couple of time tbh but both times it seemed way better than Aspers Swansea. Not sure why you would put a UKIPT there tbh, it's too small to start with. Any reason why they can't just use Les Croupiers if they want one in South Wales? It's miles better.
