Berbatov to Liverpool I like the sound of, although I would still take Owen back.

GTFO on both counts, not a hope would I take Owen back.

I found it funny that he was on the pitch kitted out ready to celebreate the title last week, get in all the pictures etc... Muppet.

To be fair (and I dislike the little git as much as the next man), he was on the bench for the Sunderland game, so he had every reason to be wearing the kit.

Ah yea he was on the bench alright but he never got on, so Im led to believe anyway!

Just on Sky saying he definitely isn't isn't retiring and he's too good to play in the Championship.

Deluded imo.  I think that is his best chance of a final decent payday.

First time I've ever agreed with a Pleeeeeeeeeeno Sports forum post?

Think this is a great call.

Would love to see the reception he gets at St James Park Sport Direct Arena if he showed up playing for the Mackems.

MLS? Far East? China?

Funny I was actually sitting here daydreaming about him playing for Newcastle again and then getting rid of Cisse and Ba so they could afford him.  I can dream can't I but Sunderland would be pretty much as good.

Was at the testimonial on Tuesday and Owen started with Berba.  If he still thinks he can play Premiership level, he is deluded!!  He was outmatched by Irish league players which says a lot.  Missed from a yard just to round things off.

Yeah I was specifically thinking about England but I suppose one of those places would probably take him although not sure he would be that good an option for an MLS side but I don't suppose that would stop them.

Hope he doesn't end up on telly.  Makes Shearer sound interesting.

Don't get the Owen hate. Etched in my mind is the goal against the Argies where I nearly choked on my tongue. Ok, at the tail end of his career he's chosen to be a bench warmer for £40k a week but meh so what? It's all about that goal against the Argies, OH MY LORD!
