This weekend I was mostly in a field in Derbyshire, drinking beer and listening and dancing to some great music at the Bearded Theory Festival.

Highlights included: Ned's Atomic Dustbin, New Model Army, Stiff Little Fingers and the Levellers.  Great festival, really friendly atmosphere and only 35 minutes from home.  Much like Beautiful Days, but on a smaller scale.  Love going to these festivals where there's no massive corporate sponsorship, 99.99% of the people there are there to have a good time and there's virtually no trouble.  Love that some of the members of the 'headline' acts can be found in the bars or in the crowds watching other acts and they're happy to chat and say hello.

Have some photos and videos that I'll share if I remember Cheesy

Went to the Stone Roses in Finsbury Park tonight.  I realise it is kinda a year late but it was totally worth it and was pretty incredible really.

Last concert was The Pogues at the Academy in Newcastle.

Awesome as always.

Hoping to go to see Alison Moyet at the same venue, only problem is its on the Mrs's birthday, so problems await!

I saw Whigfield in Valentino's nite club in Hanley in 1995.
She only did the one song (Saturday night da dee dee da da da da da) and she told my cousin Mary to f**k off.

Does that count as a concert?

Next one, I don't know, I'm going to get my kid sister to take me somewhere like, rilly, rilly cool, and then I'm going to post about it on here and you lot will be sooooo jealous.

Everyone says Whigfield was a one hit wonder, but she had a few hits; just not Saturday Night big.

This was one of five top 40 hits and I really liked this back img the day. Most 90s video ever BTW

Ha! I'd forgotten this gem! Then I pressed play and I was 16 again.
She was a snotty cow though. I didn't even go to see her, it was my regular club at the time and she just happened to be there.
All we did was stand at the front, blowing our little plastic whistles

Well, at a club when at uni, I met Kate Lawlor from off of Big Brother. She seemed confident.

Keep warm? Yeah. Freed from desire? Maybe. Ooh ah just a little bit? Crime against humanity.

May have to start a Nineties themed thread, cos we'll get in trouble for going off topic.
