Setting off today.
We're going to a friends wedding in London tomorrow and I'm on the Virgin flight on Sunday.
The plan is to chronicle my trip in this diary. Downs as well as ups.
I promised Kinboshi to upload a couple of pictures of our new house about a year ago, so never one to break promises here they are:
Grass needs mowing! Heaven knows how overgrown it will when I get back from Vegas..
View from upstairs. Nearest neighbour is a horse (see what I did there?)
Next post will be from Las Vegas!

It is incredibly peaceful. Only traffic jam we get is if we get stuck behind a tractor.
It's on the North Yorkshire/Durham boundary edge. The river that marks the boundary actually runs through one of the fields of the farm.
It's about 5 miles from Darlington.

It's not super fast, but it's relaible.
Not gone down once (apart from during thunderstorms) in the 15 months we've been here - touch wood.

This will be a terrific read.
Good luck Keith, & have a safe journey. See you Sunday I hope, & I'll square you up with what I owe you for the stake(s).
PS - The house looks fantastic, what a location. And the bonus of no neighbours. In an ideal world, neighbours should not exist, & if they did, they should all be shot.
I have quite wonderful neighbours, very helpful, looks out for my house when I am away, everything, could not wish for better or nicer people. But they have a dark side, as most neighbours do. They talk to me. Want to chat. Stuff like "hello", or "how are you?" Can't be having that, especially in the morning.

House looks lovely Keith, is it made from local stone?
All the very best of luck in Vegas.
Looking forward to your updates, hopefully ones with happy endings.
