Can't vote mate, I lived in a few places and I've heard those two plus 'roll' equally, although in the east mids its deffo cob.

Depends where you are. If you're in Nottingham you'd ask for a cob, in Scotland possibly a bap, in Manchester you might ask for a barm cake. None are wrong, but when you ask for a bread roll you need to pick the right term for the person you're speaking to.
