22 years ago as an apprentice chippie i first herd Simon Bates "Our Tune" at 11am we had a tea break and listed to the story

today i could not believe my ears ....working in Nottingham i switched the radio on... smooth radio was on .....the unforgettable

Lol. I love 'our tune'. Some of the stories are hilarious.

I'm sure they'd be sad stories if it weren't for that cheesy music and Simon Bates dulcet tones passing on the info. I just can't help but laugh Smiley

There must be an equivalent poker radio show somewhere, where bad beat stories are told, the audience gasping at the horror, despite the wistful, casual music in the background.
