Nick Hicks has already more than doubled up, knocking out an opponent

I asked Anon at his table

"Can I have the hand history please?"

and received the reply

"He wasn't very good, and called it off"

Hicks smiled shyly, but didn't disagree

In shock news, and having heard of the potential value this weekend with a £150,000 Guarantee, Madame Tussauds have sent a waxwork model of Ricky Gervais to play the event.

In the last longer, its 4/5 each of two, Gervais and tikay

In it's first hand at the table, Fraser Waxwork became the latest player to benefit from Keith Johnson, calling a raise from the big blind, check calling on  Two Clubs, and leading on the  turn, Johnson folding

Meanwhile from my limited observations cambridgealex seems to be playing well

He is in the big blind versus Terry Mitford

He leads the turn of  and Mitford calls

Alex checks the  river

Mitford fires 1,500, about 2/3 of the pot and Alex calls with

This is a good call, as Mitford says "good, missed flush draw" flipping

Alex Goulder and Jamie Burland are battling constantly. Alex has position, and seems to be getting the better of it in these early-ish stages

Wins another pot off Burland with 9-9 in the small blind on 7-5-2-J-2, Burland declaring he had a seven at showdown

Goulder around 70,000 and chip leader with Nick Hicks, of the 53 players so far today.

Gary Streetly limps UTG at 150-300

tikay makes it 1,000 UTG+1 with Aces playing 22,000

Carl Taylor calls on the button

Streetly limp calls

Flop 9-3-2 rainbow

Streetly 2,100

tikay, seeing a dry flop, calls

Taylor folds

turn 9

Streetly bets again

tikay calls again

On the river Streetly shoves

tikay told me afterwards that when he called on the turn, his view being that Streetly had been playing light previously, he would call on the river

He calls, and is shown Q-9, and is off down the M1 at the start of a Bank Holiday weekend
