Been a bit quiet on here...Sad

I've been sick in my room for 2 days.  Starting to feel a bit better, but for me not to be eating or drinking much is not what I had in mind.

Played the Aria, was talking to Chompy who also had similar... one possible common link was the Grand Luxe at Palazzo.. cue everyone else saying they'd eaten there and were bad...sigh.

So today I have forced myself out the room and went for a swim, a walk around, lite lunch (at Grand Luxe... looking fwd to that later....) and the lunchtime tourny.  Still don't feel like doing very much, agreed to get fleeced by Chompy 2mrw @ golf ~ if anyone is over here and wants to make up a 4ball lmk... looking at 6am.

Still no appetite, but hopefully there will be some decent food porn to report back with shortly...

Yuh, bit worried by reports coming in about Grand Lux-Palazzo. One...ok, two...hmm, three all sat at the same poker table, a bit of a concern...

Love the Grand Lux but gonna switch me to the Venetian version.

Right, time to slip into a pair of flip-flops and get ready for the 7pm Venetianer. Squareheads are gonnna pay.

My thoughts on Caesars...

- Poker tables r crap quality and bumpy
- Some of dealers are mediocre
- Waitress service infrequent
- Toilets are terrible
- Structure crap too crap-shooty too soon

[ ] I will be returning

Yes, lots of runners and big prize pool but the above puts me off, when u can go to other poker rooms and it's so much nicer.

Just my thoughts. Any disagree?

Completely agree Drainy, place is bad in so many ways. Mediocre dealers would be an improvement. Far better off playing the 2pm daily at The Rio imo. Four-figure fields every day, normally about 50 bags up top.

tbf, you 2 discussing structures and whats 'up top' is like Vinni discussing Michelin starred restuarants. Just go somwhere with nice seats, good waitress service and ultra low buy ins. Good luck

Up at 5.30am and teeing off at Desert Pines before seven.

Awesome stuff all morning, including an epic drive through the back of the tricky 285-yard par 4.

End result...4&3 victory. Wpwpwp.

Hungryaments afterwards, with Callaway Galloway going through THREE steaks!

Happy birthday Drainydonk.

Ahem.  All 3 steaks got sent back!!

Got Chompy to give me the alarm call, told him would pick him up from the Wynn... as I drove there I thought "surely he would go to the main gate".... nope.

Get to Dessert Pines, golf is fine, but refusing Chomp's attempts to get dodgy bets on is like avoiding the panhandlers on the bridges.  AS I drove, only fair for Chompy to pay for breakfast.  Obv he tries to get me to the $1.99 El Cortez cafe, I counter with something more decent at the Wynn.  End up getting led to the bar at the clubhouse where they screw up 3 attempts to serve steak'n'eggs.  So not only does he get free giggles, when they take my breakfast that I didnt get off the bill, Chompy fades another one... sigh.

Nah, that was Royal Links. Tiggsy holds the course record by all accounts. Might play there on Monday. Should beat his 67.

Should beat his 67.

Mulligan off the tee, "relief" taken from invisible sprinkler head 70 yards further up the fairway than said sprinkler, 2 chips, 3 putts... one of the best pars I have ever seen.  I'd take the under on 67.
