Very big difference between looking handy and being able/willing to fight!

Fwiw I wouldn't pick on perrins

100% this. I'm personally very capable because I've done quite a lot of training but I'd never be 'willing' in an uncontrolled situation.

Much rather talk my way out of it or just back down.

The only time I've ever felt under pressure was on the bridge outside the casino in Amsterdam.

Had about 10k in my pocket when I was surrounded from nowhere by about 8 lads looking for a scrap.

I near on shit myself.

When this fella showed up:

He said "alright lads, got a problem?"

And they vanished as quickly as they showed up. Cheesy

I'd take on anyone with HEAT on my team.

He had a touch imo.... Not being funny, but if 6 lads  set about him and only did that they must have covered him in pillows first

I'd have prob just kept my nut down if I got a slap and not gone posting about it all over the net. Whenever I got walloped in a scrap I just took some headache tablets in the morning and hoped it had cleared up for next weekend.

i think what all this does bring to the forefront though, is just how wary and street wise all you pro poker players need to be.
no fun on your own late at night getting  aggro no  matter how tough you ' think ' you might be. Like Evil Pie says  always best to talk your way out of a situation if possible.

Someone said he ironed one of them out a long time ago, he looks a lump and that he can have a row.

When he's probably been pouring champagne down his neck all night and can't even see straight my old dear would probably give him a going over tbf.....

K.

I'd say he's likely way above average amongst a poker crowd but amongst the sort of people who are used to tear ups he'd struggle.

Matt's not particularly big ?!
