Pienaar!!!
Michu & Hazard you can't leave out.
Liverpool playing at home they should create a few chances and Sterling is usually involved.
It came down to Pienaar or Nolan. My understanding is that Nolan plays just off the striker and from what I have read performs well at home meant I would go for him over Pienaar.
Considered a Fellaini ---> Pienaar transfer but I am just not sure.

Sterling because Liverpool are at home.

ok I'm not in the blonde league, but have been going reasonably well all season (by my prior standards)
Help me out here
this weekend I have to perm 4 from 5 in midfield (play 3-4-3)
Michu at home to Man U
Nolan at home to Everton
Pienaar away to West Ham
Sterling home to Fulham
Hazard home to Villa
Who would you leave out and why?
ty
I would say it's a coin toss between Nolan and Pienaar and would probably do the latter because if I've got Nolan in my squad he's there to play in games like this, and it's slightly easier to 'justify' benching a player away from home. However Rich do you have any other West Ham or Everton players in your provisional starting 11 for the gameweek? Or conversely if you had, say three Liverpool players in your team e.g Johnson, Sterling, Suarez, I'd be tempted to bench Sterling instead.
Reasons for the above:
- Nolan on a poor run of form - no returns in the last six (although he's had goals unfairly ruled out during this period). West Ham not firing on all cylinders either
- Everton without Fellaini will be less of a threat going forward, but the South African has returns in his last two games and the Baines/Pienaar axis is a big part of Everton's attacking threat.
- Three Liverpool players in a starting line-up, very high variance given their ability to blow hot/cold at home. FWIW I am playing Puncheon ahead of Sterling precisely because I have two other Pool players in my team.
- You simple have to play the other two (and Sterling if you have no other Liverpool coverage)
FWIW the 'projections' say on average Nolan will score 3.3 points and Pienaar 3.2

thank you, great advice.
thought it was a genuinely tough one this week
Sterling is my only Liverpool player, so as you say he has to be in
Nolan over Pienaar, I suppose it comes down to
Nolan was pretty good earlier on, less so recently

Slight word of caution regards Sterling, there was a lot of talk that he was gonna be rested for the Villa game but ended up playing, then after that game BR spoke about players needing rests and mentioned Allen and Sterling, so there MIGHT be a chance he's on the bench this week.

In the absence of any further information, I think it should be Sterling you leave out. He is going to get rested at some point over the next few games.
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/8338678/Liverpool-manager-Brendan-Rodgers-to-rest-teenager-Raheem-Sterling
I would keep an eye out for what the bib theory suggests this week. It did suggest that he wouldn't start last week (he did start) so it isn't infallible but it is pretty accurate. Maybe when he rests him , he'll leave him out of the squad altogether but if he doesn't and he brings him on with 10 mins to go, it'd suck.
If it looks like Sterling will play, I'd drop Pienaar, as Nolan just has more goal threat.

The advice you have received so far is based on limited information ie we don't know what your defence and forward line look like so the right answer may actually be to bench neither or both.
FWIW it's not the strongest midfield and I would probably only have 2 from Sterling, Nolan and Pienaar

Its close between pienaar and sterling. Like someone already said if he benches sterling then drop him but need to be sure in advance. Pienaar aint ever gonna be benched so on the balance of all that i bench sterling out of that lot. Get yourself in the blonde league next season.

One of the reasons I am wary of using my wildcard is that Gareth J/Premier Lead (last years champion I think) still has his and iirc last season he waited and waited till near the end of the season and waited for the ultimate double gameweek (due to weather postponements in Jan/Feb), he pounced, used it, scored about 120 points and shot to the top.
Couldn't hold off ayy?
Loves me some double gameweeks.
