How many prizes in our tin pot league? Can't remember what we agreed?

It's on the first page of the thread.

BH what are you willing to accept as a pay off now £434?

It's all over bar the shouting, getting 60 odd points this week when most scrapped to 30 pts says it all, well played!

I wouldn't be pining your hopes on that, hasn't worked out well for Dazzler the last 2 years and I'm sure he could write a book on it!

Thankyou but tbh if in a comfortable enough position with a few weeks left I might look at doing something which costs me points but increases my chances in the H2H.

As much as I hate to admit it the Man Utd players in my team have been crucial to my success since the turn of the year. De Gea & Evra have like 8 clean sheets from 10 matches and Rooney has been outscoring RVP comfortably since his return to the fold.

The standard in this league is certainly much higher this season. I could pretty much guarantee a fair chunk of the holiday spending money from the cash leagues and side bets but its much tougher now, more people appear to be putting the work  in that only a few of us were doing in past years.

Well I haven't put any work into it over the last couple of years and that lack of effort is costing me. No complaints.
It seems like every 50/50 has gone against me but that old adage 'the more I practice, the luckier I get' is kinda true. If you put the effort in, you see that all the 50/50s aren't really 50/50s but 60/40s and you make the right choices more often.

Like Teacake, I could always guarantee myself a decent finish and payday from knowing the mechanics of the game better than others and just putting in the minimum of effort. Nowadays, with all the fantasy football sites out there, it's like in poker with training sites, the standard has gotten much higher, as well as the playing field getting levelled through various rule changes.
Now way more people understand basic techniques, team structures, value for money/moneyball concepts. And even if they don't, just reading and following the advice of the fantasy sites pushes the standard way up.
So years ago everyone played terrible and it was easier to stand out. Now so many more people play 'correctly' that it makes it quite hard.
Which makes Brents current performance so impressive. He plays very non standard. I don't think he's taking tips from the sites. You could almost say he plays 'incorrectly' (which is what I alluded to way earlier in the season). But he just laughs at that. He does it Pele style........

I would echo the thoughts of Junior. Screw the H2H, nobody is going to remember who won that in a couple of years. But you'll never have this chance again. Win the world, my son. THE WORLD!

I've said it a few pages ago, funking for you to take it down so much. Any conversation i have about FPL with anyone for the last couple of months always involves me telling them i vaguely know someone who's in the top 50 or so and everyone is proper impressed.

I agree with everybody, this league is tough as a 2 dollar steak! Alot of shrewd folk around so it's to be expected.

I relish it to be honest, I have the ego of Kevin Pieterson with regards to my own ability, so I would say bring it on biatches!
