I was doing the updates there, and Simon was genuinely a pleasure to watch, he doesn't let up for a second with putting the pressure on. So unlucky getting his aces cracked but a testament to his skill that he built back up from 400K to 1.9m in under an hour.

Also takes rubdowns well so he's alright in my book.

He had a yoyo last few hours with the AA and then a hero call which went wrong.  Unfortunately this was right before a dinner break and I recognised the heartbreak look on his face.

I dont know if the dinner break helped or not but he seemed gathered and ready to grind again on his return. Very impressive mental strength.

Then the 9 turn was just too much and everyone sighhhed so hard - with a complete poker rookie next to me (stood on a chair to see the table properly) reminded me....

"there's still one more card you know...."

How beautiful and genuine and innocent this comment was.

then BOOOOOOOOOOM! 10 ball front and centre.

Epic.

Well played sir.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.

Turk is a brilliantly funny tool sometimes. Makes a hero for loads of chips with sod all and turned out to be right by virtue of his kicker - he gives it the 'I can read people better than anyone', 'I'm the best at reading people', finger waiving etc, 2 hands later he does the same thing and is wrong by miles and does loads of chips and goes quiet as a mouse, not quite the hand reading god you thought you were Mr turk?

Can't believed John railed you after the brutal rubdown you gave him 2 seconds after he busted!
