I hope you dont mind but i was wondering if you could give me some advice about poker. I have been play poker for 18 months now, i only play small stakes like £5 rebuys and £10 rebuys at my local casino. I also have played at brighton on the tuesday for the £20 rebuys, and my best there is 11th. I have made many final table finishes, and i have also won 4 tourments, with up to 65 runners, It was hard at first but now im seen as a good player and get the respect that i have earnt. I play up to 3 live tourments a week, i feel like im ready to go up a level and start playing at festivals, im starting off with luton next week, only the sunday game. Sophie coming with me for surport, My question is do you think im ready? i really want to make ago of my poker , i love the game so much, ive worked so hard over the last year to improve my game, i have read so much , and now i feel like im ready for this move . any comments and advice for me would be great,thanks for your time. Ruth
This was a message i had sent to Tikay, he ask me to post it, any comments would be great.

If you want to improve your game you need to move up it's the only way you will find out how good you can be.
£5 and £10 re-buys are the scourge of most poker players who feel they can play. A fixed entry fee or with limited buy-ins means you can't just throw money at a game and buy success, you need to be playing your A-game from the beginning.
Of course you still have to play at a level that your bank roll allows so be choosey when and where you play.
Much better advice will come after this from much better players than me, but this is probably the basics of it.

Go for it, I'm sure you will be fine. you seem to have put more work in than many players who have been playing much longer. As long as you don't overstretch your bankroll you will be ok. See you in Luton.

If you are used to playing £20 and £30 rebuy events, I would suggest you play the super satelites for festival events.
These are usually £20 and £30 rebuy jobbies - with a seat in bigger comps on offer (usually £750 and £1000 freezeout MTT's)
Once you get your ticket, you will then see how different the standard of play is and then decide weather you could cut it or not.
An inexpensive way to play bigger tourneys.
Hopefully see you Sunday ( should be on the final table of the main event
)

Thanks so much for your replies . I have worked out my bankroll which gives me £300 a month, for the first year, any wins will be a bonus. I would love to be able to play the satelites, but because of the travelling and the time that they are normally played ,im un able to. I have 4 daugters to look after in the day time. Its going to be great to meet all of you that is going, i ve heard that your all a great laugh, so im looking forward to it. Cant wait to kick some A**
