Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times but I've not been on here in a while and noticed there is no forum for live poker.

Has it been moved? Is it gone? Am I just blind/stupid ?

It's been removed, as third party card-rooms are not allowed to promote on here since our sponsorship by DTD.

It's a shame tbh, I know of 3-4 different people from Leeds that used this forum soley for the purpose of reading about the Leeds poker scene..

they don't use the forum anymore, they never go to the DTD or ever will.....

I understand why its gone though but tbh forums died a bit for me with it.

I'm guessing the forum would have died more than a bit without the sponsorship...

agreed (but its not actually funding 'just the forum is it...) it was needed but closing a discussion on £10 poker tourneys around leeds and the characters there i see as little threat to anything in this world Smiley i mean i saw a past poster from leeds handing out KFC leaflets today would have been a great spot to post it Sad)

As I understand it...

You can talk about it- you can start a poker thread called "The Leeds Poker thread" (like the Luton one) and post about games, players and anything else. The one thing that can't happen is Alea or Gala or other casino employees can't come on and promote their own card room.

this is correct nothing to stop locals chattering about whats happening local to them just the forum isnt open to casino staff to promote there events

I remember fondly one night Lauren Render was dealing the tourney in Braddy, the locals there give the dealers a hard time and have seen guys reduced to tears let alone girls. Anyway Bash had been getting a few bad beats and was taking it out on Lauren. He was being quite vile and then he threatened to give her a slap unless his luck improved. Well you never saw anything like it in all your life. Lauren flipped and jumped up out of her seat " come on then Bash, let's not wait for your luck to change. Let's go outside and I'll give you a kicking right now". Bash sat there in silence with a stunned look on his face whilst everyone was rolling about laughing.
Bit naughty but good for Lauren. I don't think she ever got any stick again.
