Just starting to play reg speed MTTs more often.

Would like to know if this is ok or spewy?

Villain has 3bet me every time I have opened in the last ~20 hands (3 times I think, maybe 4), which were all in late-ish position, including 3 barreling me when I peeled where I ended up folding the river after a four flush hit the river following a monotone flop.

We have villain marked as a fish from a different hand we played with him that I don't recall as it was in an earlier tournament.

His stats at the time were 27/27 but only a sample of 26 hands, he had 3b 4 out of 12 opportunities.

I 4bet intending to call a 5-bet shove, but I guess peeling the 3b is a very reasonable alternative.

With info given and the Russian sounding name I think I play it the same.  Think you have to 4 bet and once you do that have to fold.   Good luck in your future game with him on your left if you 4 bet fold here after raise folding 3 times already.

Would love to have less chips here but meh.

after raise folding 3 times already.

I don't think it makes any difference, but I did raise/peel once which was the triple barrel hand I mentioned

I mean if you're going to 4b/fold then just peel the 3b.

Seems fine, especially if he's a green label.

Apologies clearly should read "once you do that you have to call", otherwise rest of the post makes no sense.

5338/call. 4b/folding the nut worst line for obvious reasons, why turn such a nut hand into a bluff.

based on ur reads i like the 4b/c better than flatting, we are gonna be made to fold a lot post by flatting, seems like he can spew and u have him down as bad, seems fine to me

I think 4b/c is the best line but would make it a bit smaller. There's a chance you might induce more jams from hands we dominate (complete bluffs) and the times when he calls the pot will be so big it won't really matter and will be easy to play anyway.

It's worth noting though that I think people call far more from the BB than 3 bet. A lot of people call hands that they would ordinarily 3 bet with (due to the better price) and don't compensate for this by 3 betting other bluffs and instead just 3 betting wider for value because of the assumed BvB dynamic. So I wouldn't be surprised if his get in range here is AT+ 66+ or even stronger.
