I was adamant I'd got the united one right! Interested to see the answers.

It was a horrible, rainy night and we'd had an american football team using the ground the week before, plus a bonjovi concert in the week. Pitch was a nightmare.

The Quarter-Finals of The WarBwastard League Cup have been completed and we are left with an exciting Semi-Final lineup. In the big QF tie, the two most decorated BFQL players, TightEnd and horseplayer went to battle but it ended it somewhat anti-climatic fashion as TightEnd dominated in a 5-3 win. TightEnd is now a big favourite in the outrights, with one firm quoting 1/10 about TightEnd lifting the trophy. TightEnd aside, the most impressive performance of the round came from craigbetts who bounced back after missing Season Five to storm past lucky loser dino1980 5-2 in a performance that has the remaining field looking over their shoulders. craigbetts is the only non-Premier League player remaining in the final 4 and he is joined in the semi-finals by Tal and Rubbish2407 who had comfortable wins over sweet potata! and Longy respectively.

Quarter-Final Results

dino1980 2-5 craigbetts
Tal 3-1 sweet potata!
TightEnd 5-3 horseplayer
Longy 2-4 Rubbish2407

The first name out of the hat is Rubbish2407 from the Premier League. Rubbish2407 is one of the top scoring players in the game and in the most recent season won The Championship to earn his spot back into the Premier League after the devastation of relegation in Season Four with 12 points. He has scored 4 points in every round thus far, defeating maldini32, Silo Graham and Longy on his way to the semi-finals.

His opponent will be......

Why the heck did I think united now had Chevrolet on their shirts?!

Step it up for the semis.

Are they two legs?

.......... craigbetts. Rubbish2407 will surely be happy with that draw as he takes on the lowest ranked man left in the competition. craigbetts is not to be underestimated however as he showed in the quarter-finals with a maximum 5 points in his victory over dino1980. craigbetts, who has featured in the Premier League, received a walkover in the opening round against Ironside where he scored 3 points and in the 2nd round he proved too strong for superwomble as he again scored the maximum.

Rubbish2407 will start as favourite, but that is an exciting tie.

That means, by default, that the other semi-final will feature TightEnd versus Tal in an all Premier League clash between perhaps the two favourites remaining.

TightEnd will of course start as clear favourite and has been impressive thus far in the competition. After an opening round bye, he defeated MintTrav in heavy fashion, running out a 5-1 winner, before defeating his main rival horseplayer in the quarter-finals. He again scored the maximum against horseplayer meaning he is yet to answer incorrectly in the cup. On that form, can he lose?

Tal has been steady in the Premier League for a number of seasons now but whilst he finds himself in the semi-finals he has had a somewhat fortuitous path as he hasn't been scoring heavily in the cup's latter rounds. He had a tough opening round match against sharplea where he progressed 5-4 and sharplea showed everyone how good he was in Season Five but since then has scored three points twice against discomonkey and sweet potata!, and actually only defeated discomonkey on a tie-break. He will be a heavy underdog against TightEnd but definitey has the ability and with a bit of luck with the questions could pull off the upset.

Looking forward to the semi final, The chance to ply our trade at the neutral venue, home of horseplayer fc known as the Stable Park is going to be a massive day out for all of craigbetts afc. Back to back relegations have left some cynics calling us the Sheffield united of the quiz league, the lads are so pumped to prove we are more of a sleeping giant akin to man city.
We are looking at progressing through this tie and view a match up with the barca'esqe tightend fc in the final as a dream tie where motivational speeches will not be needed.

I was sick as a parrot, you know John, when we were relegated with, you know, 12 points but now we're in the semi's, you know, anything can happen. And now we're back with the big boys, you know, you can see the boys heads lift, you know, and it's a game of two halves, you know, so anything can happen. You know, Footballs a funny old game and Craigbetts, you know, has been a great advert for the game but if the boys, you know, can work their socks off and give 110% then, you know, anything can happen.

We always thought we were too good to go down in Season 4, you know, but now we're viewing ever game as a Cup Final, you know. We're well aware that there's no easy game at this level, you know, but I'm hoping our big game experience will, you know, see us through. Hopefully, we'll have, you know, too much in our locker for, you know, Craigbetts, you know, but it's definitely, you know, squeaky bum time.

Sigh, Wp Tal. I insta checked the Germany answer after I sent and nearly puked when I saw it was Sammer, I facking knew it was that but still went with Matthaus, pitiful display form myself.

EDIT ; Klinsmann ? I could have swore wiki said Sammer led Germany to that win, ok I'm baffled completely now. fml.
