Fell asleep and missed the 2nd half of last nights game. I backed Eagles to beat the spread and ended up with a push, having told myself I was backing a suggestion in this thread by someone who knew their stuff. I found myself reading lots of posts by Kukushkin88 and then felt like a right wally this morning when I checked scores to see that Eagles won but never beat the spread.
Thoughts on the MNF game? with some analysis folks for a newby who doesn't quite understand NFL.
Surely there was plenty of Philly -1 about?

In short, key battle is Dallas pass rush v Chicago O line. If Cutler gets enough time, he could have a huge day. Big if though.

It´s not completely dependent on Cutler having a big night but if he does then it´s pretty much there. Haven´t really done the research and don´t really have time to, so if I do have a bet it will be minimum stakes. It just seems a little low in spite of both teams problems on the O-Line. Any view from a Dallas fan??

Small bet Dallas -3 for me, Hopefully their pass rush will give Cutler as many problems as GB did and when that happens Cutler just takes chances. Dallas CB are much improved this year too so he could find it tough when he does get time.
Looks like Forte will start at RB but prob share carries with Bush for Chicago with Bush prob getting the goal line work again but they both seem to still be less than 100% with Forte returning quickly from his ankle and Bush hurting his shoulder last week.
Dallas O hasn't really clicked the last two games but away at Seattle is always a struggle and they did enough to win last time out so I'm hoping they do the same again tho its a small bet.

Surely there was plenty of Philly -1 about? Might have been bud, but I got crushed yesterday with European comeback in the golf. If Furyk had have won his match regardless of other results I have my biggest winning day in last 14 months. As a result I only had funds in one place available last night, and played the -2.

the tremendous lack of proper coverage from the bbc has me seething hard.
Why can't we just have MNF back on ESPN like last year?

I backed the Packers last week and thought they were a very good bet but after the last few weeks results I have just come to the conclusion that they aren't all that good. The O line in particular just isn't protecting Rodgers that well. If I had to pick a 7 point favourite on the road this week I would much rather back the Texans.

I thought this could be quite interesting. The three teams that have beaten New Orleans before the Packers did were all well beaten ATS the week after, it could be that beating the Saints is being over rated for the teams and in the lines.

I saw an interesting stat that all of the teams that had beaten the Saints hadn't won another game themselves which leads me to believe the Saints just aren't that good. They aren't getting beat by world beaters so Green Bay just sneaking by them isn't that impressive. Also Seattle flattered against them and I am not yet totally convinced by San Fran. I gave them a chance last week to prove they were a decent team but now I am fairly convinced they aren't yet they will be overbet for a while yet because they are Green Bay, they were nearly unbeaten last year and also possibly because they "should" have beat the Seahawks but actually they stunk for the first half of that game and allowed a ridiculous number of sacks. I haven't done enough work yet but I am almost certainly a backer of an Indy side that should be improving at +7.
