I felt slightly uneasy when, directly after the deal was verbally agreed, Tikay started suggesting the players leave something for the staff. Either make such comments off stream or preferably don't make them at all?
Well done Alex.
that was my fault. I needed to impress to both that payments were online so they needed to speak to me about any tips to DTD dealers rather than be able to leave a sum at the counter. Yes it should have been offline but things were moving apace
Ok, that makes a lot more sense. Thanks.

Tighty is explaining
Alex takes £8k and the trophy because he has more chips
Nathan takes £8490 and comes 2nd
#allabouthetrophies
So let me get this straight, Alex had more chips yet took the smaller sum? Seems very weird...

Nathan had to chipdump 90k over to Alex before deal was official. Silly.

Sigh
At the time of the deal, Alex had less chips.

Well it's a good job nobody bet on the guy that won/lost/didn't get the trophy with our house bookie or there might have been a steward's enquiry of epic proportions.

Thanks.I got short after a couple of horrible levels where I got TOTALLY owned by Rob Yong.Knew I was never gonna win a flip against The Golden One.I was surprised he only had tens, well expected aces; after all it was on the final table.

Well done Alex.
I don't believe I said that, and if I did, I apologise. I intended to say, and I believed I did, that IF they wished to leave something for the staff, they needed to sort it, as the prize money is paid into Sky Poker accounts, not in cash.
As a postscript, I have no idea what the boys did by way of a staff gratuity, but Alex offered the Sky Poker crew a very handsome drink. We declined and suggested he give it to charity, which he did.
I had not intended that my remarks went on the stream, but I was attempting to spin several plates simultaneously. Fail.
