definitely not folding pre, there are antes in play and we need some r/f range, this is it.

Think check folding is the best play by a decent margin in a $10 f/o.
Betting has one huge piece of merit in that in stops weaker hands taking us of the pot which is pretty possible but my biggest reason for not wanting to bet is that you're going to be in an absolute coffin on most turn cards. I actually think that (vs competent enough opponents at least) you'll get taken off the hand way more once we bet as to be able to continute post-turn after a bet and a call we need to have a pretty strong hand (we do have these hands, but we dont have it here!) in order to continue and the stacks are messy.
Check/Call is the worst option by a mile

I never said it was a 10 f/o btw. I just asked what pizzicatoxev would do in the 2 scenarios. I did c/f flop.

I wouldn't normally try so hard, but didn't have another opportunity I could wait for. I wasn't ready to surrender what I WANTED SO MUCH, that easily, I couldn't guarantee a call with me staying stoic and relying on a flinch "top pair" calling reflex.
