I was wondering if any of you know of any words that people will strongly disbelieve exist. I have a mate who thinks i am an idiot and i am able to get bets from him on a variety of different things where i know i am definitely right, he sees my confidence and still bets with me.
I did him last week on the existence of the word 'winningest' where he was adamant that it didn't exist and i knew it did. So i am not looking for words that nobody knows and won't question if they exist but little variations on common words where people will really think you are talking bollocks.
Also interested in any other hustling tricks to take advantage of this guy.

doable
not sure if its global but i was mocked in a meeting with plenty of clever types for insisting this is an actual word, which it is.

Outwith, caused a huge argument in a technical writing dept I was in when I used it, 4 Scotsmen vs the rest of the dept. Finally looked it up, it's in the dictionary but noted as a Scottish word.

No one knows where the word DOG came from.
Bit off topic, but blummin interesting.
(The Dutch word that's similar can't be connected apparently)
