The feeders win a €50 + €5 entry into the 8.30pm satellite and players start with 10,000 starting chips, blinds start at 25-50, therefore €50 only players can play them as a strict freezeout if they prefer. Those that either get unlucky or want to invest more to increase their chances have that option. A €50 freezout only gives players a 1 in 15 chance of winning a £560 seat, that is fine for 1 or 2 seat GTE's which are mainly made up of feeder qualifers, but when you are getting into 5 or 10 seats satellites and players are directly buy-ing in, there needs to be more money generated into the prize pool, over the last 2 months we have tried €100 Mega Freezeout Satellites and €30 Unlimited Re-Buys...................and guess what - we had players saying the freezouts were too expensive and the UL rebuys were bingo............so we have tried to please all bankrolls this month with a 1R 1A option, but with a freezout sized starting stack, and the same structure and clock.

The £150 Deepstack satellites are working well as cheap €6 UL re-buys, although I don't like the unlimited 1500 chip format except for the feeders, I think these £150 sats would be better as 1R 1A. Nick asked me to have a look at all of the online satelites recently, although players on my facebook and on here say they prefer freezouts, the min price to qualify/number of seats GTE seem to be the key factors. For example, the €3 re-buy feeders are more popular than the €10 freeze-out feeders, and the €20 RB feeder for the CPP gets the same/sometimes more direct buy-ins that the €50 freezeout even though it is only 1 seat GTE.

I think these €50 1R 1A satellites hit everyone, the feeder players can have a shot for a few euros, the freezeout player can just use 1 bullet, and the UL RB player can still have a gamble early on to accumulate enuf chips to bag a seat.
