DTD are trying a format that they have discussed before and has been suggested by players i.e. running a £500 Deepstack (£100K GTE) and a £150 Deepstack (£30K GTE) over the same weekend, extending the clock to 60 minutues on all days for the £500 and giving the players a better experience with an earlier finishes.

So October's Deepstack week will look like this and include 3 x CPP satellites, each with 3 packages GTE;

Wednesday 3 Oct

8PM £25 Freezout £1K GTE

8PM £50 £500 Deepstack Reload Satellite - 10 seats GTE

Thursday 4 Oct

2PM * £500 Deepstack Day 1A £100K GTE

8PM £25 Freezout £1K GTE

8PM £50 £500 Deepstack Reload Satellite - 10 seats GTE

Friday 5 Oct

2PM £500 Deepstack Day 1B

2PM * £150 Deepstack Day 1A £30K GTE

8PM £200 CPP Reload Satellite - 3 x £5K packages GTE

Saturday 6th Oct

2PM £500 Deepstack Day 2

2PM £150 Deepstack Day 1B

8PM £200 CPP Reload Satellite - 3 x £5K packages GTE

Sunday 7th Oct

2PM £500 Deepstack Final Day

2PM £150 Deepstack Final Day

3PM £200 + £24 CPP Reload Satellite - 3 x £5K packages GTE

8PM £25 Freezout £1K GTE

8PM £100 Freezout £5K GTE

* For the £500 and £150 Deepstacks, Re-Entry will be allowed into the folloiwng Day 1B only

Disappointed that no day 1 available on a Saturday for the £500. As a recreational player this is a bad decision for me. Will have to make do with the £150.

This does seem strange. Will boost the numbers for the £150 tho as the usual suspects can have two shots at the £500 and still play the £150

It will be interesting to see how many can afford both.

I don't see what was wrong with the previous monthly big deep stack tournaments. Whether they were the £300 or £500 ones. Spreading it over 3 days and making the day 1's w/t/f will stop me playing. I know I'm only 1 player but whenever I've been able to I've tried support the monthly ds.

I appreciate Simon, Nick and Rob are trying to improve DTD but I just don't see how this will work.

Edit: I'm just pee'd off that I can't play the biggie.

Players have asked for a 60 min clock, the comp takes 28-30 levels, its something we are doing for Oct.

We are trying something different after the £500k gte in sept. boredom sets in when we do the same thing every month with so much more choice available nowadays. It's a balance of course.

Over the year, there is plenty of variety at DTD, although its hard to please everyone, every day, every week, every month

We try Sad

Hi David

10 levels max, possibly 9 with a lower field.

With 200 runners it could finish in 27=28 levels so 3 x 9 levels + breaks would work.

I will see how many we have in pre reg from satelittes etc and make a decision, so its 9 or 10.

Cheers Aces
