This is a bit of a comedy from start to finish but would just like to clarify the proper ruling :

During the summer a few of us went to Malta and played the local casino comps regularly...

there was a raise i look down at Aces re raise and  Vinny 'Celtic ' Calenti is in the BB shoves..original raiser folds... now as we are buddies and for full comedy effect and the fact Ive been waiting around 5 years to get him back i decide to have a comedy slow roll dwell ( yes Karma is about to strike )

after a good minute i announce call and turn my hand over, Vince turns his over and had A 8...for some reason the dealer (whose English is the wrong side of Pigeon ) asks Vince who is in seat 1 at his elbow what i said..and Vince being the comical genius he is said.. ' oh his folded '

with that the dealer gathers all the mucked cards and pack cards and starts going through a wash still leaving our two hands over and exposed... ensue chaos as I attempt to stop him.... much giggling and laughing comes from seat one as Vince requires the help of a Tenna lady to calm him...

After the initial shock I'm pissing myself to as the poker gods have stuck it in my eye for the comedy slow roll...

a ruling is called and the floor declares both hands dead and splits the pot ?

is this correct ?

Common sense should come into play here!

Incredibly stupid ruling. Just shuffle the deck and deal a board?

Surely it is the same as dealer dropping the deck?

Therefore he shuffles the pack leaving out the AA and A8 and deals the board, winner scoops!

Obv the pot gets awarded to 'Maltese Vin' - because he's better looking than you!

His never folding AA here. Ridic ruling. Correct etiquette is to smash they'm all up and tip the table over.

At this point, I agree the pot should be split.

If you deal a board using cards that have been mucked, you can theoretically win/lose the hand thanks to cards that ought not to be in play.
