I actually love the cheering when someone fucks up, it's a team event. When someone misses a penalty you cheer. This is not a normal event it's only a big event becuase the fans love it so much. If you take away the team aspect then the fans won't enjoy it as much and the event would diminish.
Was that you yelling "Mashed potato"?........

Must admit I dont have a problem with it either. The Ryder Cup is so good because of all the extra needle and because it is so different from a normal golf event yet the traditionalists bemoan the fact it isn't like a normal golf event. I can accept Tikays view he doesn't like the event for that reason but anything else is hypocrisy imo.

As disgusting as that is I just had this wonderful vision of Poulter doing a Cantona on the offending punter.

You heard correctly and somebody made a video clip of it and posted it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RR7jwQ_LOS8

I love the banter and I do take your point. There is probably a subtle difference between cheering for your own side when they get an unexpected opportunity and cheering the failure of the opposition. Hope you get to see the greatest comeback since Lazarus today, to quote the great Sid Waddell.

Had a 12 match accumulator one the singles today. Would be nice to bink it, though it means we lose lol. Got a couple of gambles in there (gambles meaning I dont think I have a chance lol), but for a fiver you cant moan

McIlroy only just made it to the course to tee off on time with a police escort. Apparently he was in the wrong time zone. How the blinking heck do you get that wrong?

Jack straight on to Monty for criticising Rory. Wonder what he would have made of what he was saying about Tiger yesterday? Jack has alot of class.

Funniest thing I've heard in ages.
Jack Nicklaus in Sky comms box: "You've got to win some majors to be rated. Oh, sorry Colin"

Cant believe they werent all atthe course in advance together today. I have felt in this ryder cup more than any that the management of the team and the captaincy has been poor. When monty and torrance ran the show you felt they had it all planned and did a great job of getting them all tigether and managing the team. Rory so far out of line being late, really dont get it.
