They now have a new schedule up, I think all the Sheffield regulars have made this happen by the looks of it!

Tuesday £20 deepstack

Wednesday £15 Turbo Freezeout

Thursday 2 x £10 rebuys

Friday £10 Double Chance Freezeout

Saturday £30 double chance freezeout

Sunday Unlimited £50 rebuys - A Sheffield classic. GTD @ £10,000 with 50 players.

All the Sheffield regulars? To be fair there is not that much variation over G's. Just different days lol. They have just taken a month to realise that Sheffield is not a hub of big tourney poker players. As I said competition would be good as G are doing a Rake free offer in November. Signs went up yesterday but I think it is rake free for a certain time per night. Plus the points I got playing one night at Genting were almost nothing compared to Grosvenor.

The main restaurant looks a little pricey, more than you pay in a lot of places in town. I can't comment directly as I have only ordered from the Asian. It seems cheap initially but you have to pay to add all your sides, also not great if you don't fancy Asian!

The reviews I have read about the main restaurant seem pretty good, but at £20+ for fillet it should be.

Well yeah, the mark-up is always going to be roughly the same so the only thing you're logically getting for sub £20 'fillet' is a crappy piece of meat.

I've never been to a chinese where you don't order individual items, so that's all standard anyway and I love an asian Smiley

I can live with £20 for a fillet too, I take it you've never been to Vegas? Or just stick to McDonalds when you're there.... I'm in Sheffield for 3 days, so will most likely have a go at all of them anyway.

Both Napoleons and Grosvenor seem to manage it!

Usually Casino food is quite heavily subsidised in terms of profit.

Arguably the best non-starred restaurant in Sheffield is Morans     http://www.moranssheffield.co.uk/Dinner.html    £25.95 even there. But you don't have to add sides at £3 each!

You can't play much if you are still paying for stuff in Vegas Wink

Seen as Trigg bumped this, I'll update and tell you that the £50r tonight got £5500 from 33 runners, definitely not bad for it's first week and a few names missing too, very respectable. It will get even a bigger PP after a few weeks too for sure & lands decently enough for GPS in a couple of weeks.

Thought this would easily get 50 runners and make £10k.

Barry was doing a marketing job and pushing the comp so thought it would do it.

It is the first week & a few are at DTD, no chance it would have hit the 50 mark, in all honesty, don't think it does need to hit the 50 mark to get the gte.

You have to remember that Eccy Road the game never got off the mark & they was even adding £1k every week & it was by far the best game for some poker in Sheffield.

I'm sure with some persuasion they could add some sort of something like money or a couple of GPS seats to it? I don't know.

Haha, to get comped in the restaurants I eat in I'd need to be punting a lot more and a lot bigger than I do Smiley
