Amjad Mohammed raises pre

Colburn Tomlin and Kurt Goodwin call in position

Jack Allen calls in the big blind

the flop of

is checked round

turn

checked to Tomlin who bets 7,000

Goodwin and Allen call

river

Allen leads for 15,000

Tomlin calls

Goodwin dwells and overcalls

Allen  two hearts

Tomlin

Goodwin mucks

"I have the second nuts" says Tomlin, Jamaican patois amped up as is the way when he wins a pot

"but I can't raise in case he has the nuts" he tells the table, pointing to Goodwin

I always imagine Tomlin then saying "kill them" to himself under his vocie

more exits

73    Stuart Fox
74    Mark Mccluskey
75    Ceri Rees
76    Nicholas Crisp
77    Joseph Grech
78    Andrew Hulme
79    Tim Blake
80    Tom Walster

Looks like 125 runners today, 178 total

And a £11,000 overlay, unfortunately and surprisingly to me (being aware that the 2pm start times and no Saturday Day One were a deterrent to many, but still)

Final numbers to follow, after we move into Level 8 500-1000 very shortly

Do you think that making it a re-entry tourney might have put a few people off too?

Well its a pretty limited re-entry. If you play today, you've no option of re-entering, so its not as if any deep pocketed players can throw four buy ins at it...

So, no

I think its a combination of recession/bankrolls and (with hindsight) an error in making the day ones thurs/fri

I know the word from Simon was that players were asking for an hour clock, but there appears to be no discernible evidence that those players have turned up in numbers to support that.

DTD has been here before!

In fact I might argue that having to play for three days to cash puts off as many as it attracts...

All thoughts welcome.

Aaron Brunskill and Ian Gascoigne.

I am not sure who is more surprised. Aaron, Ian, or myself. Go on both!

Also up there, Wigglesworth, Sarwar, Tomlin, Goodwin and the following guys pictured....

I reckon 10-15 players from yesterday had two stabs at it, so yes

Jack Allen again, comfortably above average stack

Has a lively table

Dreenie in 1, Kurt Goodwin in 3, Allen two to Tomlin's right

2pm start times with no day 1 on a Saturday makes it restrictive to many. And also having to play for three days does the same.
Reckon the majority would prefer two days play over three days with later start times.
