Villain is a over aggro reg who 4b/folds too much pre flop, and also just gets ool post flop. He probably thinks im too aggro too.

Will post my thoughts afterwards.

To call a shove? What do you do when he calls? Any  clue on what he is peeling 3bet with if he is 4b/f alot? 5b pre i presume? What is he 4b/c?

I think its ok, he shouldn't have many Tx but thats presuming he 4b 88/99, if he doesn't might be cutty in a spot to call/call a lot right?

We rep pretty thin so presuming this is a merge? Would he lol peel  t9s oop? Any T?

No I think it's fine in isolation, if a little mitch-esque, waiting on the rest of the hand now...

This is a good freeze play/free showdown play against certain opponents (you need a read obv, plus it is a bit old school), it protects your hand and gets a bit of value etc. You can have a decent amount of Tx in your hand and it would be perceived as reasonable for you to check back with many of these - so your range is protected.

Obviously you had a different reason to raise the turn! And since you snappedy snapped I am guessing that you had a good read that your turn bet would induce from this particular villain. In which case I also like it, although obv you are going to be crushed some of the time too.

James, I like the sound of the term 'Mitch-eque'... can you define it for me please? I think I sort of know what you are meaning, since this is an exploitative play that I would use much more in live games against weak opponents than online... but I am looking forward to your definition.

Work on your reaction time imo.

Like this though... in moderation obv. (might throw this line is as a bluff as he should know you know you rep not a lot, so you should have something)

if you have a read villain can spazz out i like raise/call as pure exploit but think its too obvious we're trying to induce. also its best for our overall range to just call this turn after we cback flop.

Why raise the turn? Basically he folds his bluffs alot, its nice to keep his air in his range by calling

As played, meh i mean i feel like we have to call. Feel owned when he jams better and like a hero when he spazzes with overs, and sigh when his overs get there Wink

One thing is though i think he bluff jams a little less here than we might exepect, your line of check back flop and raise turn looks super strong and nutted to me (not balanced like you actually did) and most villans play cautiously against this type of line.
