Oh my bad then Tony. I assumed when he was staying with family in Ireland I assumed it was his wife's family. He takes the kids over quite a bit when he plays over there.
Assumption is the mother and all that.

He generally takes the tribe because Nana & the rest of the family like to see them, though he never took them this time.
I can't begin to imagine the hassle it must be to travel to Dublin, be it by air, or ferry, with 4 saucepans aged 7 & down. The mind truly boggles. Luckily, they are all good kids, & all boys.

i remember them all being in Killarney too when I took my kids. Now that's one nightmare of a drive with a car full of kids. Typical Ireland, driving down country roads get to a toll both for a motorway, pay your money and 5 miles later you are back on the country roads again.
Has Julian wrote a diary or auto biography. I seem to recall he moved to Nottingham to be closer to Holme Pierpoint to further his canoeing.

He's not penned a biography, no, but he does plenty of Blogs for Sky Poker, in fact he did one only last week.
You are correct as to Holme Pierrepoint, that was why he moved to Nottingham I believe, back in the day when he was quite a hot paddler bloke.

WARNING - thinly disguised spam.
Thewy got back from Dublin yesterday, & then played the three UKOPS Events last night, cashed in two of them, including a Final Table for about £1,700 I think.
He is in tonight's £530 High Roller, too. Anyone fancy finishing 2nd?

Hi Julian
Good to see you still making a few bob.
Its been a few years since I ventured to the masterclassics and boy do I miss that festival and the associated good times.
Good luck there.
