tbh, this is the biggest leap of faith I have had in a Palace bet and am not entirely confident at all. But it is one of those I think we will win comfortably, or get taught a lesson early doors by not starting good enough, letting Boro's class shine through.

A real polarised one for me, think the draw won't happen, we will lose by one or win by two I think.

Can't give you much logic as to my reasoning, I just know I watch a lot of the games and go from feel and am nearly certain I am riding positive variance with my Palace betting, rather than applying too much coy thinking, but I am just going to roll with it.

Boro have quick skilful forwards - ledesma and emnes (is he going to play?), who will cause all sorts of trouble for the palace back 4 (esp their cbs), who I think are more suited to defending against big, slower target men.

I dunno, Palace impressed me against Watford and Boro have had a very poor run of results, so maybe I'm wrong.

Just don't think Boro become a bad team overnight and Palace certainly haven't been in cracking form themselves (2 wins in 11)

This is the sort of spot I love punting on the out of form team at a big price.

Emnes is woefully out of form by all accounts, would expect Jutkiewicz as a lone forward unless Miller/McDonald are fit in-time (or Emnes performs tomorrow, probably as a sub). Jutkiewicz seems like exactly the type of forward Delaney/Ramage would like to play against (maybe Mowbray will play Emnes because of this).

Head turned by Swansea link possibly.

Can someone point me to a time Emnes has been in form?  He is lightweight, drifts in and out of the game and is just not that good imo.  Juke up front on his own would be a certainty I would have thought but Curtis Main is fit again now and if they play two upfront he has a shout too.  I wouldnt be a backer of Palace but dont really have a view at these prices fwiw.  It is an absolutely massive game for Boro though if they are to get the show back on the road.

Think Emnes played well when he was on loan at Swansea a few years back for a consistent amount of time.

On the Boro front, I just don't think they are as good as people think and have been outperforming so far this year.  I don't expect them to make the playoffs and think they will be overtaken by Brighton or, more likely, Blackburn.  I wouldn't back Palace at evens though on Saturday.  I think Boro will keep thing tight early on after their poor run, so contrary to the above I think the draw is a big runner in this game.

I actually like the Palace bet, from what is going on at M'boro it might be my chunk bet for the weekend, but I haven't looked over the fixtures yet.

Whilst I was right about Main as he played up front on his own tonight he won't be playing Saturday now as he got sent off tonight!!!!

Ripped Blackburn apart, could have been 5-0 after 15 mins.

Gotta beat Cardiff now!

Sigh.  For some reason Hull are the team I would least like to go up.  Nothing to do with Bruce either - just can't stand watching them.

Must admit Bruce went up in my estimation after Brighton beat them on tv last week.

One of the Brighton players fouled in the free kick routine which ended in the winner in the 85th minute.

99% of managers would have screamed blue murder at the Brighton player and/or the referee.

Bruce said something like "Yeah, it was a foul, but no ref would have given it, we'll just take it on the chin".

Much like how most of the time in a poker tournament when a good player gets sucked out on for a lot of chips or to bust them out, it is almost odd to see them not take it philosophically and in a good manner.

I wonder if these poker players take beats in other parts of their live as well as in poker. Would that make them a more superior species over most of the humans? lol.

Disappointing to not run as well as we did last week with teams around us now winning.

Does make for a tantalising finish to the season.

Got to hope Palace kick on for the sake of the Camel bet too, as you are 4 points ahead!

We have Middlesbrough, Leicester and Hull to play, of the top 6, all at home, so it would nearly be in our own hands for automatic promotion.

At the start of the season I would never have thought we would have had a sniff of all this, so it is a big surprise to see where we are. On that front, I don't think there is as much expectation on us to succeed here. Of course we were running away with the league at one point, with a joke amount of points in succession, but we would need to be ecstatic here with a playoff spot, and if we were to drop out of that, it would still have to go down as a great season.

Would love to see us win comfortably in the next two games, as if that does happen, I really couldn't bet against us having the most amount of points won from now until the end of the season of any team in the league. Just because we had a terrible lull and we seem like such an on and off team, that just a little flurry of consistent wins could mean we are as unstoppable as the run under the late Dougie era. I have to hope that happens.

Could be argued too that Boro are going through the same lull and could just as easily smash it until the end of the season as they did have an incredible run of winning games at one point.

Watford don't look like letting the gas off, neither do Leicester, and Hull seem to be trudging out results.

F knows what happens here, i just hope I don't have a heart attack.

I took some $27 just over 50/1 action on us winning the league on Saturday on Betfair, just to let you guys know. Obv a punt, and not exactly a lot of money, but at the odds, it would be a sizable win! But In my ignorance I think it is value, as like I said, if we get two wins on the trot, i think we could smash it. (rose tinted glasses well and truly on).

Had to put that Betfair bet out there, just so I didn't get any cries of aftertiming. Obv as that could have been a future problem I would have to be dealing with.  thumbs up
