Cheers for the info, but doing the roadtrip up there, should be about three hours.

Went to this fixture last season and there were 5 goals in it. Really entertaining stuff. I will take a 0-1, and be completely bored tho.

I think it will be important that we have 4 home games in our next 6 to stop two away games from happening side by side to halt momentum. We really are a different team away from home. And if I see the sort of performance i am used to at Selhurst at Pride Park tomorrow, my belief will be back in it. But we really do look out of sorts away from home.

I wonder how much the average championship fan would take to be top of the league now and look destined for automatic promotion. The complete changeover of the kit seemed a complete pisstake, but the name change would be outrageous.

What else could be tampered with? Has the stadium been renamed? Have they had to do any Venky style ads? What would you take as a fan as the limit of what a new owner could do if they brought with them success?

“I’ve been a season ticket holder for 42 consecutive years and it’s something I’m proud of. I’ve waited that long to see the Bluebirds play against the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United so I’m not going to miss that chance next season but after that, if they stay red, I will never go back."

“The fans who stay aren’t real fans. I had to leave just after half time at Brighton because I looked like an away fan in my blue shirt and it really broke me"

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

According to this dick, real fans will go for their one season in the Prem, then when they get relegated they should never go again.

How do you spell glory hunter?

Who has the best away support in terms of numbers in the league and out of curiosity who are generally the loudest? I think the Palace are probably up there in both. I saw Middlesbrough had a decent turn out the other day at ours.

Top 7 average away support up to mid feb

1) Leeds 3048
2) sheff wed 2578
3) forest 2104
4) Leicester 2025
5) derby 1508
6) Brighton 1412
7) Bolton 1404

Leeds crushing as always.

Considering we have one of the average further miles to travel, and havent been in top 6 for 5 monhs until now, quite good Away support. We also average highest at home by a MILE. Not bad considering we have top 3 most expensive average prices. Just added 2,500 seats ready for palarse game so expect our average to get even bigger.

Haven't heard any away team sing yet except for Leeds and boro after they scored. Only missed two home games. Last season loudest was Leeds by a mile, then palarse (only from 80th min).

I am taking deep hurt from you calling us Palarse. But tyty for the info!

I do love the away days so much more than the home matches despite the results issue. So much louder and you are so much more emotively involved. It's addictive to feel so involved throughout the game. Would have to say I was particularly proud of our support away to Peterborough where I thought we were awesome.

Definitely relatively subdued by our standards against Sheff Weds away but I think the crowd sort of feeds off of the uncertainty on the pitch if your team doesn't get off to a good start.

Charlton away this season was probably our best actually. Took the whole of one stand and were incredibly loud throughout with a lot of numbers getting there.

I won't be going to Brighton away this year and am yet to get to the ground altogether. I have a Sunday morning football match to be in goal for and I will always take playing over watching. A shame that this one isn't on the tele for me to watch post blistering Packie Bonner like performance in goal.

What's the source of these figures?

I would be scraed to think what our averages would be when we have a top 6 season in the Championship.

Average 23,000 at home & 2500 away is pretty good.

Sigh - feels like a big 2 points dropped by the Hornets.  Pretty sloppy second half in terms of ball retention, but still had some pretty clear cut chances to kill it off.  Forestieri looks low on confidence as he is not getting any game time.  Palace managed to win on the road as well.

Blimey - just saw the Derby Palace highlights - never a penalty at the end there.  Justice served that it was missed.

How did Palace play Ant?

Yes, they gambled on Sven getting them up, brought in a load of high wage earners and blew it. This against a background of being run terribly before these owners came in

Under Pearson its more stable and conservative. 25% of the wage bill has been cut, egos have departed, the squad is younger with plenty of sell on potential if we decide to/have to, the owners have bought the stadium etc

Every club has to get ready for FFP.
