easy win for charlton me thinks, 3k leeds fans chanting for our manager to fuk off and cheering for a past leeds player for charlton, will be surreal.

I am waffling about Palace but I do this to release tension, which has increased recently!

I think tomorrow is season defining for us against Blackpool away. Perhaps maybe not with the result, but the way in which we play. If we are well in the game and play positively and much like we have for a lot of this season, that means there has been a positive reaction from our last two dreadful results and with six games to go we can push on. Despite us maybe losing, we could probably use that intent as a platform to perhaps win the rest of the games at home and maybe get a result or two away, to have us at the very least firmly set in the playoffs.

If it is another drab performance, I think we have had it. We would have six games to go, teams from below would probably force us into only being 3 points from dropping out of the playoffs and it could well be nervousness about getting 7th or below rather than our performance anxiety at getting bloody 2nd!

Keep it simple Holloway, play the 4-5-1. Probably too, look to have Dikagcoi play deeper than he did in the first half against Birmingham. Very negative approach I would like, but one that covers for our lack of a great back four but still allows for our very quick breaks. I think Holloway won't be doing that though and will play Dikagcoi further up the pitch, isolating Jedinak, putting pressure on him, affecting his performances and then sending jitters down the spine of our fragile defence. Just my opinion obv, and flawed, I just hope whatever Holloway does, turns out to be effective.

I would like it too, for us never to use the 4-4-2, but only under circumstances where we really do need a fresh setup. Problem then is that it nullifies the use of ever using Phillips and i don't think Holloway could bring himself to do that. The 4-5-1 has worked for us in a lot of the games it has been used, especially at home. Just feed the wings to feed the Muzza. Defenders on opposing teams, even if they double up on the men out wide, would leave space in the middle for Williams to instead ping in a cross. I probably have no idea what I am talking about here, but bleurgh, im gonna say it.

Would love this to be the setup:

                    Speroni
Ward/Richards----Ramage----Delaney-----Parr
              Jedinak  Dikagcoi
 Zaha              Williams               Bolasie
                      Murray

He starts Phillips tomorrow, with Murray then I think we're in trouble. I feel really strongly about this. But ofc, if Holloway thinks the 4-4-2 will work then fair play to him, I want to be wrong!

I think that is Hull sorted for 2nd spot unless Watford beat them on Tuesday.  4 points clear, Watford and Palace in poor form and Forest and Brighton too far back.

We have taken 1 point from Blackpool/Burnley at home and Barnsley away.  The loss of Almunia has been key.  Bond has made some good saves, but the defence is running around like headless chickens in front of him.

Ant   ....     Blackpool's pitch - that's the crucial factor in who Holloway should pick.

It's like a ploughed up turnip field    ....     no good for frail, 'pretty players'. If you've got any seasoned slow pro-journeymen shove them in, and hope to win the war of attrition. Your Man Ure loanee, and Bolognesey (or whatever he's called), will find it hard to light up a game played in four inches of ruts, and mud! Much as I can't stand 'The Governor', I'm hoping for a 'Tangerine Dream'  result at Bloomfield Road tomorrow.

Can't even have Palace in the Play Offs in my world     ....     pay back time for donkey's years of rip off ticket prices for away fans in that shithouse Arthur Waite Stand!

Forget all that Ant, you're playing at Blackpool and you would probably be better off playing it on the beach Cheesy

I concur!

I spent a fair bit of time on backhenrystreet/fansonline while the managerial saga was ongoing and it really is shocking how badly the chairman runs things up there.

Leaving that pitch as it is all season and relaying it in the summer. I don't know anything about it, but surely in an international break you would have time to relay it?

I don't think the roots would 'take' in such cold nonseasonal weather, Marky.

Down at Watford they used to have a lovely pitch, but years of ploughing by Saracen Rhinoceroses killed it    ....   thank God they've buggered off to Southgate, where they belong!

Fair enough their pitch may be terrible, but to have a go at the chairmen's running of things? Am I right in saying it is the only club in the Championship that isn't running at a loss? Don't shoot me down for that one, I am not sure.

Cheers for the reminder of the pitch. Then I guess it is a free for all. What I say then stands for most matches imo. Then again I like to remind you all I chat a lot but am not exactly qualified to know exactly what I am saying lol, tis just a flawed opinion.

If the pitch is that bobbly and horrible, does that necessarily mean your tricksters are deemed not so effective? Means it is harder, but what about the old kick the ball past the wing back and just use your pace and strength to run in behind, rather than all these stepovers? I don't think it will effect us too much, if we started how I said. But of all the people to be manager for us tomorrow, you would have to imagine he would have some inkling about how to optimally set us up. How is Ince so effective playing at home on such a pitch then? Had him down as a 'pretty' player.

Forest were very ordinary yesterday.

Midfiled ok, but both up front and at the back were pretty poor.

Their decent run was against moderate teams mostly and they were v lucky to beat Hull.

I'd be very surprised if they snatched second on yesterday's showing.

Yeah second is beyond us now, I'd be more than happy with a play off place considering where we were a while ago.  We don't have a 20 goal a season striker and our defense all got put together this season, so all things considering, I'm satisfied to keep the unbeaten run going.

One thing is for sure, and that is that it's going to be very tight with nothing decided until the last game of the season I think.

You would be doing something seriously wrong to not be running in profit after 100m of parachute payments Ant!

He goes on the missing during transfer windows, so that he doesn't have to spend any cash on players and from reading their messageboard loan signings are about all they can hope for!

He has siphoned most of the dough out into the family coffers I think, but it's ok 'the money is available to the club if it needs to borrow' Cheesy

I'm not a Blackpool fan mate, I had a financial interest in their next manager and became acquainted with goings on at the club through that.
