Haven't been to Ipswich for years so can't recall where to go but this may help.

I've been to Ipswich once but it was so long ago Kevin Phillips was up front for us as a nipper.

I do remember liking the ground though.  Good atmosphere.  The away fans are off to the side I think, but you get a good view.

Not much to do around the Ipswich ground but the good thing is if you get there early enough there is all sorts of space in a massive car park to park virtually next to the ground

Nice really tight ground, steep stands, decent atmosphere midweek

As always, appreciate the responses.

The site linked above is great for info on the ground and refreshingly descript. Didn't expect a review of how posh the toilets were for example! Smiley

Atmosphere and steep stands are two huge plusses, really detest the flat stands that have you feeling rather distanced from the action if you are anywhere above row 10. And the atmosphere is nearly the sole reason any away fan makes a trip surely? Couldn't imagine travelling to a game and remaining quiet, even though everyone is entitled to do whatever the hell they want, I think it gives me a great opportunity to let off steam and shout obscenities and complete bollox for a laugh. If I get some of those around me chuckling, that's what I was going for. Forever the attention whore.

I do have one stock phrase though I often blurt out and that is "first time fucking cross" as I don't think it can be overstated how effective it is to get that ball into the 'corridor of uncertainty', quickly, as you catch their centre backs offguard and you only need that outstretched leg from the striker. And when you have probably one of the most advanced players in the country, in Murray, in his probably sole craft of poaching/good positioning, you really should be playing that ball everytime! We don't have him on our books for much else I assure you!

When those goals come off I am in euphoria, I don't care about the 30 yarders as much at all, give me a teasing cross and someone on the end of it and that there is the reason I watch football.

Nice ground Ipswich.

Good atmosphere in away end when I went there 9 years ago. I did a thread couple years back on total grounds visited I think on here. I haven't been to any new ones this season Sad

Apparently Lua Lua Buckley and kuszchazk all fit tonight, so our bench should be stronger.

Cardiff are promoted

Another crazy Championship night with Hull, Watford, Palace, Bolton and Forest losing

A good point for Brighton in the circumstances

Leicester, finally, get a vital win

but how about this for a run in?

Palace A
Watford H
Forest A

Ouch, every one a play-off game in effect

Can't see it for us, but we have a chance again

At the bottom 14th to 23rd seperated by 4 points. That one will be a last game of the season nailbiter, anyone could go with Bristol C, who were relegated tonight

Brighton hit the bar twice tonight, so might think they were unlucky, but Crofts should have been sent off for hauling down fatty when he was off on one of his runs, and Tommy Rowe missed a sitter also.

Think a draw was fair on balance. Poshies not at their best and I'd doubt that's as good as Brighton are either. Wayne Bridge outstanding for Seaweed, despite the obligatory abuse from the London Road end, while Zakuani was all over Ulloa like a rash. Alcock our MOTM at right-back.

Poyet's swans are a very organised bunch and that might just be enough the play-offs this time round.

Anyone got a spare wheel? Watford's and Palace's seem to have fallen off completely.

Harsh 90th minute sucker punch tonight.

1 point from two home games in 4 days could well be our nail in the coffin.

Gutted.

Speroni cost us really, we had no real chances, they had no real chances before the mistake. Then they hit us with a worldie, then Ramage gifted them the third. It's going to look calamitous on the replays.

Murray was the worst player on the pitch. Holloway took off Ward and Williams when they were having decent games. Zaha and Bolassie were largely operating by themselves.

It was the worst performance I have ever witnessed by Palace. Of course I like to hyperbole, but I am pretty sure that is accurate. We were woefully out of the game.

We haven't scored in five. My ideal would be to draw the next 4 games 0-0, cling onto the playoffs and then win the semis on penalties and the final after more 0-0 just so we could be the most disgraceful team to get promoted and what a stat that would be. Silly obv.

I fear for us.

One for Tal really but it's good to see three Welsh teams in the Prem next season in Swansea, Cardiff and Gareth Bale.

Used the car park thanks. Parked right by the back of the bar.

Pleased with point as missing

Vicente
Barnes
Cms
Hoskins
Buckley
Lua Lua
(Dobbie)

Think it was Hammond not crofts thought he won the ball and player fell over will see on highlights tomorrow.

Some ridiculous fouls by your players not given, all after that incident you mentioned!

You looked pretty poor. You kept giving ball away, nerves I guess. If you used the wings like you did from the 70th minute you would have nicked a goal if you started doing that earlier. We controlled it up to 70th min but missing our 6 attackin players showed as we were very ineffective.

Probably a fair result due to how inneffective we were. Press announcer said forest drew, BOOM when got back in the car Smiley
Hope we do you a favour by beating wolves!

Jesus mate, it ain't that bad.

Just like you weren't as good as you thought you were when you were dreaming automatic promotion, you aren't as bad as you think you are now.

You're still like 85% to make the playoffs and once in them you'll be a small outsider, but still about 20% to win them.

You have a couple of gamebreakers, and these guys are crucial in the playoffs.

They hit form and provide 2 or 3 goals you can still go up easily.
