At their best I think Leicester are probably the best team in the division, but the problem is (as I've learnt to my financial cost) they rarely play to that standard.

cardiff are not particularly exciting but they have gained more points than the other sides and hence are the better "team"

Studying the fixtures remaining for the first time ever this season.

I make it Brighton/palarse, Watford/Bolton.

What a disaster, almost would rather not be in the playoffs if we have to play palarse.

Makes no sense.

Watford are arguably the best team in the division, Bolton are the in form team with a squad chocful of Premier League players.

Leicester have a great (but under performing) squad who could come right at any moment.

Palace are clearly the worst team left in.

Yeah, it would hurt like hell to lose to them, but take your chances in a tie where you're 60% to get through rather than one where you're more like

Course it makes sense, dont want to be fucked up and have years of abuse.

FWIW Cardiff have lost same games as us, conceded same goals but scored four more but SIXTEEN points better off.

CMS missed pen - 2 points
Barnes missed pen - 1 point
Ulloa missed pen - 1 point
90th+ Last min goals conceded cosf us 8 points v bham, forest, Bolton, wolves yet scored only three points winner whole season in last minute v pboro/Blackburn

Maybe some variance can take us to the prem.

Well obviously I'm looking at it as a non supporter but I'm 99% sure in the same spot I would want to play the weakest team.

If they knock you out it's over 40% you won't have to play them next season and after that it will be pretty much forgotten.

And if they lose the final, they will have fcked up one step from the Premier League which will be satisfying in itself.

Whatever my opinion means on here is one thing, but we are, currently, outrageously much worse than any other of the proposed playoff sides, if indeed we do make it to the playoffs. We should, but our remaining games are against two teams away fighting for their lives in Blackburn and Millwall and a match at home against the highly unpredictable Peterborough. It could easily be all or nothing on the last day against Boro after two losses before that, and we probably wouldn't be a team to step up to the plate, especially with Boro' probably playing out of their skins to stay in the league!

How fortunate have we been so far? No right to be 5th in the league. 3 points out of a possible 21 and and two goals in 6 games, both coming in our last game. Also in among the panic with us, we have changed our formation to a 4-4-2 as Murray is terrible at the moment and we are getting absolutely nowhere with a 4-5-1. Remember Murray is our main outlet for goals!! It is a joke at the moment that he has deserted us. If he comes back to us, it will lift the team and give life to our wingers and then who honestly knows?

We look gutless at the moment, whereas on highlights Bolton, Watford and Brighton look really superb. I wouldn't fancy us much to win any game against anyone at their ground at the moment, and quite frankly, with our defense playing as it is, it wouldn't take much of anything to score goals against us. Leicester did and they really had a slow tempo and despite some pretty football, weren't the best side, clearly looked a little out of form and I just think if another much more in form side were there we probably would have lost. Or maybe I am underrating how well we played? Possibly.

If Murray comes back to form before the 3 games are up I would be devastated as a fan of the other three sides of the playoffs if we get there, because the chance is looking quite high that he has bowed out of this season, is running on empty, and with that our chances have all but vanished despite our flattering league position. No surprise during this form we swooped him and signed him on a decent wage and a three year contract! They must know something I don't.

We need Watford to do us a big favour on Friday and beat Leicester, would be a great little boost to us as it would mean 3 points for us all but seals the playoffs. Really wouldn't be surprised though if we are forced to get that on our last day against Peterborough!

Leicester having to play Forest in their last game seems a nice spot for Palace. A draw there could go down wonders.

Is there a chance Palace stay in the playoffs with no further points. I think so and could well happen!

As its so local, I may go down to the Den to watch Millwall against Forest, we have Millwall on Tuesday too, but will probably only do that if Leicester lose/draw.

I think this can be said for both Hull & Cardiff. Excellent defence, dull as fuk to watch.

watched their last 4-5 games on sky, about as attacking as Leeds under Warnock..playing centre backs in midfield tells you it all.

59 goals in 44 games. eek.

Milwall game is key for palarse. If Blackburn don't win they will be desperate for a point at least come the weekend. Milwall will always be up for it v palarse too.

Wembley pitch is same size as the one at Amex. Should help us if we get there Smiley

I would have put that down to have crap strikers.

Hull been attractive and decent to watch most times I've seen them.

Cardiff are zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Think I've seen Hull 3 times maybe for full 90 mins and they've been shocking to watch each time.  Not a big sample size I appreciate.

Off the top of my head

Watford v Hull
Hull v Bristol City (jesuz wept!)
Burnley v Hull

Fair play to them though as they just don't concede, but I'd hate to have a season ticket.

I'm sure Sky are licking their chops at parading Hull v Stoke next season Smiley
