These views are so rife in society it's hard to find any humour in this thread.

But in all seriousness, if you have an extremely overweight person on a full flight, why should the people sat next to them suffer discomfort on a long flight?

They can always ask to be moved.

A cousin of mine had to buy 2 seats on a flight, when he got on the plane the seats were split by the aisle.

Total pisstake.

Disagree totally, if they know they are that overweight to cause issues they need to buy 2 seats or go business or whatever. Making others uncomfortable is pretty selfish, then again that is probably why they are so fat in the first place.

fly first class problem solved! If you have to buy two seats get a business class seat instead! or get richer and go for the first class seat! One of the largest guys i know does this. He never has an issue with small seats or the people next to him!

An Aussie friend of mine is 6' 10" and a bit but not excessively overweight. He pretty much always goes biz even though he can't really afford it, he just goes on holiday less often and saves up.

What about guys who are short? I don't mean dwarfs, just guys who are, say, 5' 0" - 5' 6". It seems to be very common to openly make fun of them. I'm sure I could find many such insults on this forum if I look for them. What makes it acceptable to call them names or attribute certain personality traits to them? If I was that height I would find it grossly insulting; I do anyway. I am always surprised when I see someone doing it and everyone just accepts it.

And while I'm here can I just tell tall guys that I am not interested in their height. They just love to drop it into conversations or on forums. "I'm 6' 4" and I have terrible trouble getting into cars / finding trousers / fitting into beds", or whatever the excuse is to tell you their height. Okay, it's just immaturity on their part, but it's pretty boring.

I'm 6' 4" so I bought a big car that's easy to get in to. Never had a problem with trousers and as long as you get a king sized bed it's all gravy.

Because of all the adjustments I've made it's been really difficult finding an excuse to tell people how tall I am so I'd like to thank you for finally giving me the opportunity.
