I'm ashamed to admit I was a bit rude about one of Paul's staking threads, questioning his mark up.

He took the flack with good humour.

I played with him for quite a while at UKIPT Newcastle without knowing who he was and was very impressed with his play.

I can confirm though, he's a pain the arse to play against and worth every tick of his mark up!

Congrats and good luck in 2013

Congrats to everyone so far, specially the camel and Paul. Although I haven't known the camel for years, he did back me for a while in 2011 and think he's the fairest backer I've ever had.

As for Paul, he wants to marry me, but I had to let him down gently 😘

Ha, i was actually extremely wound up about this and kinda still am, but I didnt wanna make a big thing about it on the forum at the time and by the time the tournament was finished I was kinda over it.  TY and GL to you also.

Thanks to Tighty and the rest for the pick and all the kind words, I actually said in Prague last week that I probably wouldnt be picked for one of these because despite spending an absurd amount of time on here looking around my ratio of posts/time spent on here might be one of the lowest and even if I did get in, Camel might object and say I was too high and should be way lower Wink

My game has improved massively since I joined the forum and a lot to do with that is just reading the posts/advice/strategy by some of the guys around here, I had the best year of my life in 2012 and some credit has to be given to blonde and the people I have met because of it so I cant thank everyone enough.  Also met a few absolute heroes that have given me some stories to tell.

Id say the only bad thing is Dreenie PM'ing me everyday asking me to marry her but sometimes you have to take the bad with the good Wink

Mark "Marky147" Herron has been on blonde since 2005, a regular contributor on all sorts of subjects from Gambling to Women, degeneracy and then Diets and sometimes Poker.

Notably though, he is a font of Vegas knowledge, and over 17,000 views of his "Vegas Trip Information" thread this year attest to its usefulness for many blondes with its mass ofm information on all aspects of Vegas for the British traveller. Of course, as he seems to go there five times a year, he's well qualified to speak on the subject!

http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=56335.0

Marky, and his Dad Micky147, have been long associated with Bad Beat and indeed nowadays he works for them  as a manager for www.badbeatpro.com from his home in Dorchester.

Marky has Multiple Sclerosis, not that you'd know from him on the forum, as he deals with his illness with humour and you won't find him moaning

The MS has of course meant Marky's life has changed, and live poker for him is trickier than it was when he was a globetrotting circuit reg with Herbertmob flags worldwide going back to 2005, often travelling in the company of serial rabble rousers.

Aye good lad is Marky. One of the few stalwarts still knocking around from the old ladbrokes days, there are a few others of those on here too....
