I just had a new credit card delivered which came with a new PIN.

I took the card with the PIN reminder to a cash point to change it to my regular PIN.

Bit of a shock when I opened the reminder and saw it was already my regular number!!

Pretty boring I know but I had to tell someone.

Hope you've now changed the PIN number...

9999:1 shot innit?

Actually. I daresay it isn't even that. They prob exclude 1111, 2222, 1234, etc.

10,000:1 - 0000 is a valid PIN.

Yeah, so 10,000 total = 9999:1 (1 in 10000) shot at having the same one.

Yeah, so 10,000 total = 9999:1 (1 in 10000) shot at having the same one.

You said it as a ratio, not betting odds (which would be 9999/1).

The ratio representation is valid usage of betting odds! 9999/1 = 9999:1 = 9999 to 1

If you put your pin in backwards, is it true you still get ££ but the police are despatched to the location?

don't know, but when you get to my age, putting in the pin backwards wipes the original pin from your memory ( and also your address)
