Can anyone give me a clue? I usually never drive up to London but I am taking my son and some friends to a gig tomorrow night in Brixton. Where is the nearest cash poker game? 1/2 hold em is fine.

Cheers

In the centre of town - Empire/Hippodrome/Fox round Leicester Square or the Vic on Edgware Road.

But I wouldn't drive there.

No idea m8. But it ain't Neil Diamond so I am dropping them at 6 ish and picking them up at 1130. If I can park anywhere I will get tube to Hippo I suppose. Not been there so would like to give it a go. I will try and find some parking on the web.

Don't they have poker at the new Aspers in Stratford?  You could park the car and take a 10 minute tube ride to there from North Greenwich.

The gig is in Brixton (at the O2 Academy), not at the O2, (or indeed the O2 Shepherds Bush Empire). Dear O2, these venues had perfectly good names already before you started confusing people.

Tube from Brixton > Stockwell > Leicester Square is best bet.

Have a look at the Hippodrome, but don't know how busy games will be at 7ish on a weeknight. If it's quiet, the Empire will definitely have games going.

Papa Gascoigne was telling me how good the games are at the Hippodrome. Definitely sounds like it's worth a visit, and if the games aren't running then you can just pop over to the Empire.

All games are good for Papa Gascoigne.
