Anybody? Would really appriciate views as this confused me a bit. Prevous to this i had been opening / continuing alot and getting alot of folds, pretty sure this guy is capable tho (stats on scope / opr are locked so not for sure0. Fwiw i folded the river this particular hand but really wanted to press the call button.

i know your holding:

I think you play it terrible fwiw

If you are going to call flop, and call a missed turn - your probably better off 3 bet folding the flop. He is going to struggle playing OOP with a bluff (if he calls) and it gurantees you see the river for free.

He probably has a hand like QJ KQ as well (or of course a spazzed 2 pr peel), but it also means some of your outs are crushed and will get you stacked.

Know when to fold IMO

This quite possibly was terrible from me however i couldnt work out a value hand he could have that plays this way. The guy was much too solid to have a spazzy two pair and as this was the first time we've played together (at least in recent times) from the way i was playing i pretty sure he saw me as somewhat capable. Pretty sure he doesn't do this with QJ for sure and again am not convnced he plays KQ this way. My problem was i couldnt beat all bluffds / any hands he turns into bluffs.

Like 3bet/folding the flop tho, looking back.

well you are both deep, so he probs has 88/33 as he doesnt want ot 3b fold pre and your arent deep enough for him to 3b call then play post flop.

So he peels to reassess and wanders into a set - it does happen

I think any holding that is tricky enough to be threadworthy OTR should fold the turn

JT J9 and 9T are the most likely flop bluffs and that would deter me from being a hero in this spot.

Assuming he's a straightforward player and not ballistic I am folding everything you need to make a thread about.
