FWIW I get a strong impression that the teams who have done the best in previous years have been the ones who have had captain's appoint their members rather than teams where players 'earned' their place - another good reason to dispense with an MTT or league qualifier.
Being captain is a massive hassle, in my experience the only benefit you get is the satisfaction of seeing someone you picked win the individual element of the tournament

Just want to let you all know i have applied to join a team through skypoker team i am in, hope that's allowed would happily represent any team.
Hope this doesn't rule me out here as were not 100% they will get a place

The player list at the start of the thread suggests Blonde will win imo. We have to not run like death on one of these sooner or later. When are you announcing the captain? Reckon we would like to get the team sorted asap the Hotels are already filling up and are likely to go up in price, Days has only a limited number of rooms left. I think I am going to go anyway tbh although will not be playing if not selected for Blonde. It will be a good weekend and I can play cash games or some side event whilst the tournament is going on. |

I'm enjoying this thread it has great potential! For the record I have not applied for any other team agree it makes sense to finalise captain sooner rather than later so those selected can make plans.
