No. As 70mph is an arbitrary speed limit in the UK, and accelerating quickly can be useful and done safely.

Doesn't mean they're not loony right-wingers.  Most of them also believe that the world is less than 10,000 years old.  A hundred million right-wing Americans can be wrong.
